L'École de la Source, in Thonon-les-Bains has about sixty pre-school students.
A school playground in a mountainous region like Thonon-les-Bains is indispensable for student comfort and enjoyment. Climate conditions was one of the key considerations for this project, since the shelter was intended to be attached to a building. For safety reasons, space could not be left between the two constructions, in order to prevent snow from accumulating there.
After a feasibility study was carried out by our teams, the design of a shelter with a 4-post steel structure and a peripheral chassis was recommended, in compliance with the Snow and Wind 65 Safety Regulation (NV65).
With regard to the design, we selected a bright color was selected along with an ultra-resistant white fabric. In order to provide an optimal solution, a water drainage system with waterproof joints was installed with framing on each side of the shelter.
JI appreciated the relationship and the communication of the Texabri teams, both Mr. Deperdu, our project manager, and his coworkers who came to install the school playground shelter.
